State and National Winner

Cesar E. Chavez High School is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Matthew Serna and the CCHS FBLA chapter at the 2026 FBLA National Leadership Conference, held in San Antonio, Texas, from June 28–July 2, 2026.

Matthew earned his place at the national conference after placing 3rd in the Computer Problem Solving competitive event at the California State Leadership Conference. His state performance qualified him to represent California and CCHS at the national level among some of the nation's top FBLA students.

While attending the conference, Matthew further demonstrated his commitment to leadership and professional development by taking the A.S.K. Business Institute Fundamentals of Ethics Exam. He earned a score of High Achievement, receiving a Certificate of Advanced Learning in recognition of his accomplishment.

The conference also brought recognition for the entire CCHS FBLA chapter, which was awarded the Champion Chapter Silver Level Banner for its outstanding participation, leadership, and chapter achievement throughout the year.

"Matthew and our entire FBLA chapter continue to exemplify the dedication, professionalism, and leadership that make CCHS proud," said Ms. Dao, chapter adviser, "We congratulate them on their outstanding accomplishments and their representation of our school on the national stage."
