Class of 2014
We recently caught up with Jasmine Bermudez, Class of 2014, and here is what she's been up to lately.
"I attended San Diego State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in political science in May 2018. During my time at SDSU, I was the Assistant News Editor at The Daily Aztec, Vice President of National Association of Hispanic Journalists-SDSU chapter and a member of the SDSU Diamonds Dance Team. I will continue my education at Howard University School of Law in Fall 2019.
The critical difference between high school and college is, in college you are in charge of yourself. No one is there to remind you to study for your midterm, make sure you ate lunch or accept your late work. I attribute much of my success in higher education to the skills I learned in high school. Chavez taught me how to manage myself. I juggled the workload of multiple classes and extracurricular activities, stayed on top of my assignments, and took initiative in my education. CCHS taught me that success is mine, I just have to work for it."
